What we do

The EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule requires firms to be Lead-Safe certified before they advertise for or perform paid work that disturbs lead-based paint in homes and child-occupied facilities built before 1978. The application is not hard, but it is finicky, and it routes through the EPA’s CDX system or a state portal or paper process depending on where you work. We handle that end to end.

You give us your firm’s details, we prepare the application, file it as your authorized agent, track it to issuance, and send you the certificate and your Lead-Safe Certified Firm logo. We never ask for a Social Security number, and we itemize our service fee separately from the government filing fee so you always see what goes where.

We are a document preparation and filing service, not a law firm, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or any state agency. We do not provide legal advice. What we do is narrow and we do it well: get contractor firms certified, accurately and quickly, on the correct federal or state path.

Compliance details change, so the guidance on this site is written against primary sources, the RRP Rule under the Toxic Substances Control Act, the EPA’s published guidance, the inflation-adjusted civil penalty tables at 40 CFR 19.4, and each state program’s own requirements. We review our pricing, validity periods, and penalty figures on a recurring basis and date our guides so you can see when they were last checked.
